Chorale Bel Canto in the 73rd Annual Bach Festival Saturday 3/27/2010 (4:00pm) - 16 Days Away The 2010 Bach Festival will emphasize dance in the works of Bach, and our concert will begin with one of the four orchestral suites, all of which consist of dance movements. The chorale, guest artists and orchestra will then present two of Bach's most exciting cantatas: BWV 70- Wachet, Betet! (Wake up! Pray!) which warns us of the end of time, and the thrilling and festive BWV 11- The Ascention Oratorio- in true Baroque splendor Bach spins a musical tale which is compelling and wonderful.
