Thursday 7/29/2010 (7 to 8:30 p.m.) - TODAY
Generating the same enthusiasm and musicianship as the original artists, “The Trip” will perform high- energy modern rock, 1980’s rock, classic rock and every rock in between from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, July 29, at Parnell Park, 15390 Lambert Road. The free concerts are sponsored by the Whittier Cultural Arts and Parks and Recreation commissions, Los Angeles County Supervisor Don Knabe and the Los Angeles County Arts Commission. Seating is festival-style and concertgoers may bring lawn chairs or blankets for comfort while they enjoy music under the stars. Vendors will have food and beverages for sale at the concerts, or residents may bring picnic suppers. For more information on the Summer 2010 concerts, contact the Community Services Department at (562) 464-3430.

Support the Boys & Girls Club of Whittier while enjoying your Dinner-To- Go! For $25 (feeds two people), you receive a full rack of baby back ribs, potato salad, and cheesy garlic bread. INSTRUCTIONS: Pre-pay your tickets and guarantee your rib meal by calling (562) 945- 3787 x102, or paying online at www.bgcw.org. Each month we sell out, so get your tickets early! On Friday, July 30th, drive through the Boys & Girls Club of Whittier (7905 S. Greenleaf Avenue, Whittier) to pick up your meal(s). While in your car, hand your ticket(s) to your server and he/she will retrieve your DINNER-TO-GO! Carefully drive home, set your table, and enjoy a wonderful rib meal for two OR invite several of your friends over because you’ve purchased too many rib meals! Enjoy your ribs knowing that you have supported our kids at the Boys & Girls Club of Whittier.
